When Inanna first arrived she was absolutely terrified and clung to me as if her life depended on it. She cried when I put her in her crate, put her on the ground, or put her into another person’s arms. Inanna was different than the other rescue babies. She was probably 3-3.5 months old and was rescued from the side of the highway. She looked the worse for wear, with flea bites covering most of her body, mange on her ears and face, patchy fur, lots of wounds, and nearly emaciated – she definitely looked like a baby street scrapper. It took her little more than one day to settle in to her new life and new friends. While still a bit weak, she was wrestling with her new puppy buddies in no time.

Inanna has proven herself to be a feisty and fierce little girl. While she happily took on the biggest of the bunch, she was equally happy snuggling in for love and naps. Nearly two months later her wounds have healed, she is eating like a champ and looking like a tank post-mealtime, her skin is beautiful and her eyes bright. She still loves playing with her buddies and is more than content to snuggle in my lap, soaking up all the love there is.

She is a smart little pup, very food motivated, and she learns very quickly. Just yesterday she went on her first big trail hike with the big dogs. She was perfectly behaved both on and off leash. She will make someone an incredibly fun and faithful companion!
